The rooftops of Brasenose College, Oxford, England
This is a view from the east of the same college pictured from the south in image #555 Brazenose College, Oxford, England 2018. The view is to the WNW, with the River Thames about a thousand yards in the distance, beyond most of town. The woman in the lower right it using her smart phone to make a picture of the most famous building in Oxford, the Radcliffe Camera. The chapel in the upper right and the buildings just in front of it are parts of Exeter College, the fourth oldest among the currently 39 colleges of Oxford University, the college founded in 1314. The spire at the left is atop a building of Nuffield College and the second one from the left is that of the Wesley Memorial Methodist Church. Finally the two spires visible in the distance just to the right of the steeple of the Exeter College chapel are each features of Balliol College, founded in approximately 1263.
