The singular veil, Yosemite, California
Two of the exposures I made here on this day actually caught white-throated swifts, frozen in flight at or near the top of the fall. Many, like this one, also yielded an extensive array of individual droplets, which you can see in the Zoom detail (+). Bridalveil is surely among the most beautiful falls in the world, a fitting end to the quintessential hanging valley of Bridalveil Creek, which feeds the 600-foot fall in a distinctly seasonal way as the snow melts from above.
