This is my favorite from the only visit I've paid to Saguaro National Monument, on the occasion of the unusually wet winter of 1991-92. This southern Arizona desert teems with life after exceptional rains. It has the most wonderful smell, and the cacti have immodestly chosen some stunning hues for their blooms.
