After so many years of working with film, I had never imagined that the backlit sunrise could flatter the Mittens, but I surprised myself with this rendering, thanks largely to how amazingly well sensors can now turn light into free electrons.  Each of the two Mitten Buttes and Merrick Butte on the right tower close to a thousand feet above their surroundings. I can't imagine tiring of this hauntingly magnificent view.
