Twilight, glacial terminus, Alaska
Leaving the bizarre world of the Matanuska Glacier at ten in the evening of the same day that resulted in Glacial ice, Alaska, this bit of Jovian landscape caught my eye. A few minutes earlier my companions and I had seen fresh looking grizzly tracks in the mud very nearby. I was glad to return to the shelter of our vehicle and a late supper.
