This image was a significant departure for me in the way of seeing. It is rather like Forest, Kaibab Plateau, Arizona, in that both felt more like pictures of spaces when I made them than is usually the case. Both compositions went unseen for a moment, though not unfelt. The water surface in this image shows evidence of light rain, blurred by the long exposure.
