Someone familiar with my work, upon seeing this photograph, asked if I had some sort of pact with God, as evidenced by the frequently obliging light. I told her no, at least not in writing, but I have at times referred to the image by that nickname ever since. Hills of this general aspect are quite common to western, central California and so look a lot like home to me.
