I found this agave in a garden, so I can't say whether they occur in the wild on Kaua‘i. Agaves have understandably inspired many photographers with their lovely symmetry and radiant tones. A peculiar thing about this image was that it required me to align the tip of the heart of the plant with the intersection of the two leaves behind, which was more awkward than one might suspect. One might call the effect a visual double entendre.
